Yoga lessons / classes Guildford, SurreyI offer small personalized group classes of up to three students, or individual one to one sessions, in my own studio in West Horsley, between Guildford and Leatherhead in Surrey. The studio is approached down a separate pathway into the garden and private parking is available. My students progress at their own pace with the sessions being tailored to individual needs. They are ninety minutes in duration which, I believe, provides the optimum benefit to students. They run continuously throughout the year. Both daytime and evening classes are available and, where possible, timings are flexible to fit in with students' other commitments. I welcome men and women of all ages, whether a complete beginner or someone who already has some experience of yoga, and I also teach pregnant ladies.
Yoga classes / lessons Cobham, Surrey I have been been practising yoga for the last thirty years and, after training in the United States, became a qualified Sivananda Yoga Vedanta teacher in 1995. I also have interests in other forms of spiritual development such as reiki and voice training. I have taught in various health clubs in London and Surrey and have also worked in remedial units of major hospitals with patients recovering from cancer and other health problems. I now hold the classes in my own sunny studio in West Horsley. It is a relaxing place where my students realise the importance of being strong and healthy not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.

Breathing practices (pranayama) precede a series of postures (asanas) before the class finishes with relaxation and meditation. I design the classes according to my students’ current abilities and personal goals, helping each to progress gradually towards greater flexibility and adopting a positive attitude. Very personal attention is thus received in a studio offering a warm, friendly, safe and non-competitive atmosphere. Over time my students find that they make marked improvements in the postures they can hold, usually well above their original expectations.
